Highlighted Features:

  • Made of forged steel.
  • Hot-dip galvanized coating.
  • Recommended maximum torque: 35 N.m.
  • Recommended for use with 1/4" retention (SRET635CAM or SRET14DA).
  • Recommended for use with three pieces of clamping.
  • Ideal for heavy loads.
  • Recommended for suspension or fixation of guyed towers, masts, poles, and similar structures.

Safety Notes:

  • Use the same size clip for the same size steel cable.
  • Never use malleable iron clips in critical, heavy-duty, or suspended load applications such as slings, suspension lines, guidelines, drag lines, load fixation, scaffolding, etc.
  • Malleable iron clips are for terminations only:
  • Only for light-duty and non-critical applications such as light loads, handrails, lattice, area protection, etc.
  • Apply an initial load to check the assembly. This load should be equal to or greater than the weight it will support. Then check and retighten the nuts to the recommended torque.

Method for installing the clamps:

  1. Run the cable the necessary length around the cable clamp and install the first clip at a distance equal to its base's width from the cable's extreme tip. Tighten the nuts alternately to the specified torque.
  2. When only two clips are required, install the second clip as close as possible to the bend of the cable or cable clamp, and tighten the nuts alternately to the specified torque. When more than two clips are required, install the second clip as close as possible to the bend of the cable or cable clamp, and turn the nuts firmly without tightening.
  3. Install all necessary clips between the first two with equal spacing and in the same position. Ensure all clips' nuts are tightened according to the specified torque.
  4. Finally, apply a load equal to or greater than expected to test the assembly. Then check and retighten the nuts according to the recommended torque with the help of a torque wrench.
